Advanced Safety Features Coming to the RAV4

There's some safety features that could really help you out in times of danger on the road, but there's a good chance that you didn't spend enough money on your vehicle to have these safety features available to you. Well, Toyota is changing that, and adding automatic brakes to the RAV4--a move that makes automatic braking available on a wide scale.

While this is a move Toyota has decided to limit to the RAV4, in the coming years, Toyota plans to have automatic braking available for all of its lineup.

The safety features will be optional, but shouldn't come at a steep price. During the 2015 New York International Auto Show, the automaker is poised to reveal the safety features and pricing. Speculation says these options should run about $300 to $500, according to an article by CNN Money.

The RAV4 to go Hybrid

Toyota already has a few hybrid versions in its model lineup, but that won't stop the automaker from adding a hybrid version of one of its best-selling vehicles. For 2016, the Toyota RAV4 will be offered in a hybrid edition--exciting, huh?

Toyota plans to have hybrid editions across its entire model line, but the RAV4 is the latest to receive the update. Currently, the Camry, Avalon, Prius and Highlander all offer hybrid editions.

Be sure to stay tuned for more updates as they are released. The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is expected to make its debut at the 2015 New York International Auto Show, which runs from April 3rd to 12th.
