Team Toyota Roster Adds Professional Snowboarder Chloe Kim

Addition secures Toyota as Kim’s exclusive automotive partner.

Team Toyota has added a very special athlete to their array of winter sports partners.  Introducing Chloe Kim, named one of TIME Magazine’s “30 Most Influential Teens” and NBC’s Top 10 athletes to watch for in the 2018 Winter Games.  The Olympic hopeful is also the youngest member of the U.S Snowboard Pro team.  The multi-year partnership was arranged by CAA Sports and continues Toyota’s athlete sponsorship model which originally began in 2006.

The support of winter action sports isn’t new to Toyota, as such partnerships have been happening for nearly a decade.  A founding sponsor of the Dew Tour, Toyota also supports well-known riders Amy Purdy, Elena Hight, Louie Vito, and Travis Rice, along with other pro athletes.  Kim will appear as a brand ambassador and be included in customized content for Toyota RAV4 and Prius models.  The Toyota logo will be front and center as Kim competes during professional competitions, showing up on her helmet and board.

"Chloe is not only a young pioneer growing her sport, but she is also a role model whose foundation is her family. She embodies the Toyota brand in so many ways, and is a true representation of our mantra, which inspires people to go places," said Jack Hollis, Group VP, Marketing, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. "Forging a relationship with one of the world's top-ranked snowboarders will allow Toyota to continue to celebrate sports, and the women who compete in them.”
